I wanted to take the time to wish everyone out there a Happy 4th of July! The holiday is obviously more than just barbecues and pool parties, it's about coming together and showing support for a great nation...America! When the time comes to celebrate this holiday, I always think about how lucky I am to live in a nation such as the USA; and how I (like many others) take my freedom for granted. Gosh, we have it all compared to other countries. For instance, day camp is doing a change drive (which I will talk about later in the week) helping to provide meals in Ethiopia. Man, when we're hungry, all we have to do is just drive or even walk to the nearest McDonald's or other fast food joint. These people don't get that freedom to just go to a restaurant if they're hungry. And it's not only food. There are so many freedoms we have that others never even knew existed.
There are so many people to thank for giving us our freedom. It all started with the brave Americans who said "Enough" with the British colonization and fought for our independence. Then, our troops, who protect us and our freedoms everyday. For that, I would like to say thank you so much for all you do.
P.S. If you would like to send a personal thank you to a troop overseas, click here.
