In honor of Northern High School (and the SEN10R Class) I decided to have a "Ha Ha/Oops Award" for a game created by a group of seniors called "The Cup Game". The game is very simple: the seniors just place a cup from a fast food restaurant on the top of their car, sit back, and laugh at how people will go out of their way to tell them that there is a cup on their car's roof. The NHS newspaper, The Round Table, had an article about the game. It mentioned some of the things people have done to try to perform their civic duty. The article said that one person literally ran across Roxboro Road (a busy street) just to tell the guys about the cup. Another blocked the guys from leaving a restaurant until they were told about the cup on their car.
So...can you guess who gets which award? The "Ha Ha Award" goes to the seniors for creating the game and the "Oops Award" to the citizens of Durham who thought they would just do a good deed and tell a guy that there was a cup on top of his car. Too bad for them that they went to great lengths to perform this deed. Congrats to this week's winners!
